At nineteen, I had tried it all: deleting apps, setting screen time limits, using phone lockboxes, even flirting with the idea of a flip phone. Nothing worked. Every so-called solution was either too soft and easy to get around or only blocked one device at a time. I could still log in on my laptop, borrow a friend's phone, or just reset my password whenever the urge hit.
I was a STEM student who needed to lock in and focus, but instead I kept losing hours to doomscrolling. What I wanted was not another flimsy restriction, but a system that actually held no matter what.
That is why I built VaultGremlin. It is for people who do not want to delete their social media accounts, but who know that even an hour of scrolling a day is too much, and who are ready for the most extreme option available. VaultGremlin is designed to close every loophole: instead of just locking one door, it moves the whole house. You hand your credentials to the Gremlin, and he makes sure you cannot get back in until you have decided it is time.
No device hopping. No back doors. No excuses.
We are new and far from perfect, but we are serious about solving this problem. If you have ideas, experiences, or feedback, I would love to hear from you.
Wishing you the best,
